Ready to take the helm and charter your own yacht in coastal waters? The International Skipper Package equips you with comprehensive theory, practical skills, and the confidence to sail anywhere – whether it’s the Whitsundays, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean or beyond.

Designed for sailors who’ve completed the International Crew or have equivalent experience, this package empowers you to take full command and seamlessly transition to skipper duties.

What’s Included?

• Introduction to Yachting, 2 days from 10am – 4pm
• International crew certificate: 2 days from 9am – 530pm
• Night Sail: 1 evening from 530pm – 9pm
• Sydney harbour bareboat charter course: 1 day from 9am – 4pm
• VHF Radio Operator’s Certificate: 1 day 9am – 5pm
• International Bareboat Skipper Theory Course: e-learning course from the comfort of your own home
• International Bareboat Skipper Practical course: 1 day 9am – 5pm
• International Bareboat Skipper Liveaboard Course (food and accommodation inclusive on 3 day live aboard)
• 6 hours Complimentary sailing on Sydney Harbour

That’s 108.5 hours of professional, on-water training on world-class yachts. There is no time limit to finish all courses in the package, and a standard amount of time for students to get through all courses is anywhere between 1 – 6 months.

What You’ll Achieve

By the end of this package, you’ll be able to:

• Plan passages, interpret charts and use nautical navigation tools
• Safely skipper a bareboat in coastal waters
• Make confident decisions on watch and emergency preparedness
• Officially qualify for coastal bareboat charter and enhanced yacht insurance
• Seamlessly transition to skippering in international waters

You’ll gain internationally recognised certification and the deep practical know-how to skipper a yacht with confidence.

All safety gear, fuel, course notes  included throughout all courses. The cost of the VHF ($40 USD)  and International Bareboat Skipper ($90 USD) certifications are additional administrative costs.

Furthermore, you can also earn the International Certificate of Competence (commonly referred too as an ICC) as an equivalent certificate if you would like too.
